It’s so much easier to think about the world in terms of black/white. I’ll have to open my crayon box now and look at all the pretty colours.

I’ve been engaging in a thought experiment lately. Noticing all the ways the subtle expectations of women can be compared to slavery. The results aren’t pretty.

But for some strange reason I’m not to supposed to be bitter or angry. And I’m definitely not supposed to hate men. Because the poor widdle dears might get their feelings hurt.

One thing. Feminists blogs are nice, but are we going out and confronting misogyny where it lives? Many mainstream blogs and news aggregate sites like digg and fark are full of that crap. I joined NOW. I want to know what I can do to help women in India and the middle east learn how to do things for themselves so they don’t need men.

6000 years is too long to be a fluke.

It really is past time more women start learning car repair, plumbling, etc, as a profession, and knock off the 13th century poetry studies. The reason women put up with this crap is because they are dependant on men, and men want to keep it that way.

Nice post but the narrow text strip is not conducive to long posts. I have the same problem. Heh, reminds me I should see if I have any stupid mra comments to delete. Those guys are good for a laugh anyway.

I like to think of myself as a progressive hetero male but I know I have a long way to go. I think you may well have helped me along the path.
